National Grid Reports 24 Hours "without the need for coal" Milestone

In a tweet posted on the 21st April, National Grid reported the first ever 24 hour period where coal wasn't used to to meet electricity demand.

"National Grid can confirm that for the past 24 hours, it has supplied GB's electricity demand without the need for generation." they said, prompting a fairly lengthy chain of replies about the make up of power used, and their maths!
